Team Members

Harsha Paladugu, Managing Director
Harsha is a freshman at Harvard University. He was previously a member of the Youth Infusion Board at the Kentucky Science Center and the vice-president of Manual’s National Honor Society. Throughout his high school career, he has been involved in a variety of translational and biomedical research and will be a delegate to the 2017 National Junior Science and Humanities Symposium in April. In his free time, Harsha enjoys reading, eating, and watching The Simpsons.
Allison Tu, Executive Director
Allison is a junior at duPont Manual High School. In addition to her work with STEMY, she is the team captain for Manual’s International Public Policy Forum team and a representative on the KY Department of Education Commissioner’s Student Council. Allison has been involved in research at the University of Louisville for the past two years, representing Kentucky at the American Junior Academy of Science conference in Feb. 2017. In her spare time, Allison enjoys running and playing with her two adorable cats.
Agharnan Gandhi, Executive Director
Agharnan is a junior at duPont Manual High School. He is a member of Manual’s Academic WorldQuest and Math teams. His team has qualified for the national WorldQuest competition two years in a row, winning 5th place overall in last year’s competition. Throughout high school, Agharnan has been involved with novel biomedical engineering and cardiovascular research at the University of Louisville. Recently, he completed a two month research internship at the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, where he elucidated a novel mechanism in Thromboinflammation. In his free time, he enjoys playing basketball and teaching others.

Bhavana Pavuluri, Funding Director
Bhavana is a sophomore at duPont Manual High School. She has always loved science and is a member of the Science Olympiad and Science Bowl clubs at her school. Bhavana is very passionate about giving back to the community and has volunteered and fundraised with several local organizations. For the past two years, she has been researching common genes between different neurodegenerative disorders. In her free time, she loves watching Netflix, going on walks, and playing the cello.
Annie Zhang, Funding Coordinator
Annie is a senior at duPont Manual High School. In addition to her work with STEMY, she’s a reporter for Manual RedEye (her school’s online news publication). Annie was a category winner at the 2017 National Junior Science and Humanities Symposium, where she presented biomedical research she conducted at the University of Louisville. In her spare time, she enjoys running and listening to music.

Emma Cammack, Funding Coordinator
Emma is a junior at duPont Manual High School. In addition to her work with STEMY, she is the vice president of her school’s Women in Science and Engineering Club and an active member of Beta Club. Throughout middle and high school, Emma has conducted independent scientific research projects about water quality. Emma loves dancing in her spare time and has been performing for 13 years.
Pranav Senthilvel, Outreach Coordinator
Pranav is a sophomore at duPont Manual High School. He’s a member of Manual’s Future Problem Solving teams. He attended the 2017 Future Problem Solving International Conference, and placed 10th in the Global Issues Problem Solving individual competition. In the past, he researched a new way to prevent diabetic cardiomyopathy. In his free time, Pranav enjoys playing basketball and hanging out with friends.
Karthik Jetty, Outreach Coordinator
Karthik is a sophomore at duPont Manual High School. He is a part of the quick recall and science bowl teams at school and volunteers at several hospitals around Louisville. Last year, Karthik researched volatile organic compounds and is excited to embark on future studies. In his free time, Karthik loves teaching younger students, reading, and playing tennis.
Jennifer Xu, Marketing Coordinator
Jennifer is a junior at duPont Manual High School. She is a member of Manual’s debate team and has won several local and national tournaments. In addition to debate, she is a member of Science Olympiad and Science National Honor Society. Jennifer currently conducts research on the development and biology of the gustatory system. In her free time, she enjoys watching Seinfeld reruns and playing with her cats.
Sandra Temgoua, Designer
Sandra is a junior at duPont Manual High School. She is on the board of both the Key Club and the Latin club at Manual. She won first place for Digital Video Production and Design at the regional Future Business Leaders of America conference in 2016. Sandra has conducted independent mechanical engineering research for the past two years. In her spare time, she enjoys drawing and playing soccer.
Samhita Lellapalli, Designer
Samhita is a junior at duPont Manual High School. In addition to STEMY, she is a member of Science Olympiad, Beta Club and Spanish National Honor Society. She enjoys giving back to the community and has volunteered at the VA Hospital for the past three years. In her free time, she loves watching Parks and Recreation and listening to music.

Greg Schwartz, Technology Director
Greg is a senior at duPont Manual High School. He spends his time working on multiple websites such as STEMY and RedEye, making mobile apps, and building population models with which he presented at the 2017 International Science and Engineering Fair and will present at American Junior Academy of Science in 2018. Greg is also a founding member of Winner’s Circle RoboJockeys FIRST Robotics team and Programming Captain. In his free time, he enjoys debating as Manual’s varsity Lincoln Douglas debate team captain, reading, and writing.

Tanner Pruitt, Program Manager (Elementary School Workshops)
Tanner is a senior at duPont Manual High School. In addition to his work with STEMY, he is the incoming president of both Manual’s National Honor Society and Manual’s Student Senate. He is also a member of Manual’s chess team which has won the state championship three years in a row and placed third in the national championship last year. Throughout high school, Tanner has been conducting research on type I diabetes and transplantation tolerance at the University of Louisville’s Institute for Cellular Therapeutics.

Aditya Mehta, Program Manager (Elementary School Workshops)
Aditya is a junior at duPont Manual High School. He is a member of multiple extracurricular clubs, including Quick Recall, Science Bowl, Science Olympiad, and World Quest. Aditya founded his school’s Astronomy Club two years ago, and continues to lead the group. He has also started his own summer tutoring classes dedicated to helping elementary schoolers with Science and Social Studies.

Jesse Wang, Program Manager (Elementary School Workshops)
Jesse is a senior at duPont Manual High School. In addition to his work with STEMY, he is an officer for Manual’s Science Olympiad team and a member of the Math and Science Honor Societies. He is also a competitor on Manual’s swim team. Throughout high school, Jesse has conducted research in the fields of computer science and environmental science. In his free time, he enjoys playing basketball, football, ultimate frisbee, and watching his favorite movies.
Eddy Zhong, Program Manager (Innovation)
Eddy is a junior at Kentucky Country Day High School. He competes on multiple academic teams for KCD, including Science Olympiad, Quick Recall, and the Math Team. For the past two years, he has conducted immunotherapy research at the University of Louisville’s CTR building. He is also a longstanding member of Johns Hopkins University’s SET program. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, traveling abroad, and playing basketball.
Mark Raj, Program Manager (Peer Mentorship)
Mark is a junior at duPont Manual High School. Besides his work with STEMY, Mark is a national-qualified debater. He’s an upcoming Varsity Captain and competed in the International Public Policy Forum competition in 2016. Mark is also a member of Manual’s Academic Worldquest team. He has conducted research in renewable energy for the past two years and was a Siemens Regional Finalist in 2016. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking and spending time with his brother.
Bhargav Ramesh, Program Manager (Peer Mentorship)
Bhargav is a program fellow and a junior at duPont Manual High School. He is passionate about science and is a member of his school’s nationals-qualifying Science Olympiad team. As a member of both Key Club and Spanish National Honor Society, he also enjoys giving back to the community. In his spare time, Bhargav likes playing baseball for Manual’s team and listening to music.
Conor Blackburn, Program Manager (Robotics Workshops)
Conor is a senior at duPont Manual High School. In addition to his work with STEMY, he is the engineering captain and founding member of Louisville-based FIRST Robotics team, Winner’s Circle Robotics. Conor has been involved in independent research in the fields of mechanical and environmental engineering for the past three years and represented Kentucky at the 2016 International Science and Engineering Fair. Some of his other interests include playing the cello and sleeping.
Govind Krishna, Program Manager (Robotics Workshops)
Govind Krishna is a senior at DuPont Manual High School. He is an officer of Amnesty International and enjoys building relationships with members across the globe. Recently, he has been working on issues closer to home at the Catholic Center of Refugee and Migrational Services, where he leads a service project to combat health concerns of the local refugee community by teaching lessons about healthy eating habits and exercise. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his friends and cooking.
Minh Phuc Tran, Program Manager (STEMY Academy)
Minh is a junior at duPont Manual High School. He serves as the District Historian for the Kentucky-Tennessee District of Key Club International. Minh has performed environmental cardiology research at the University of Louisville, Diabetes and Obesity Center for the last two years. In his free time, he loves performing symphonic music with his various orchestras including KMEA All State Orchestra and the Louisville Youth Orchestra.
Betty Ngo, Program Manager (STEMY Academy)
Betty is a junior at duPont Manual High School. She’s a longstanding volunteer at Norton Children’s Hospital and is very involved with the Vietnamese immigrant community at Lac Viet Academy. She will represent Kentucky at the American Junior Academy of Science conference in 2018 presenting research about developing novel treatments for eating disorders. In her spare time, Betty enjoys spending time with her family and watching South Park.
Priya Chandrashekhar, Program Manager (STEMY Academy)
Priya is a senior at duPont Manual High School. Following her passions for math and science, she is conducting research on the relationship between fractal patterns and bacterial behavior at the University of Louisville. She also loves volunteering at the Norton Womens’ and Kosair Childrens Hospital. In her free time, Priya enjoys reading, biking, and playing tennis.
